Wesley Class Trip

Img_0140_10Yesterday was a good day for a road trip. I was the Wesley Class Cruise Director, as we traveled just south of Liberty, Kentucky, to the Bread of Life Cafe and Sunny Side Store. The Bread of Life Cafe is a restaurant that is run by the folks who run the Galilean Children’s Home. We had a small but fun group of seasoned citizens from Christ Church along with Jared, who cracks me up, the grandson of Tim and Sherry Hamilton.

We also visited the Sunny Side Store, a store run by the Amish Community in the area. Amazing store! It’s out in the middle of no where, literally, but it was packed with people on a Tuesday afternoon. I can’t imagine what it is like on a weekend. The store is located very near to the Galilean Children’s Home, so the members of the Wesley Class left some household goods there for the Home. We weren’t able to arrange a tour of the Home because they are limiting tours to other months of the year. I think they have been overwhelmed with people in the last few years.

The Wesley Class supports the Home with a monthly gift, along with several other missions and ministries, including the United Methodist Children’s Home in Versailles.

It was a great time. I don’t think any of them will be on the blog, except Tim and Sherry, who are younger members of the group, and maybe Mildred!

We had a great time with the primetimers of the Wesley class. Jared wanted me to tell you that you crack him up too! Regards, Tim.

I’m Chris

Welcome to Flourishing Life, a space designed to help you pursue the abundant life God offers everyone. Jesus said in John 10:10, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (ESV). I’m convinced God created the world for flourishing human life. However, we’ve all contributed to the brokenness in the world and our own lives. Many don’t even realize a better way is possible. My hope for this blog is that you’ll discover the life God has always intended for you, the ones you love, and the world.
